Iverson @ PMP

Iverson, look at how you determined on this day to be able to catch the ball. You did this lots of times and at the end you were so happy to catch the ball. You can do anything if you have the courage to persevere at all times.

Danile Levika @ PMP

Danile Levika, you waited patiently for Daniel Parker to hop off the ramp. You did well balancing yourself after that. Well done!

Daniel Parker @ PMP

Daniel Parker, look at how hard you worked on this day. Look at how you looked at your work with determination. You were trying to get through this triangular obstacle without touching any sides and you did!

Balancing - Vaiana

You have been trying to balance yourself on this board, Vaiana. This board got a tiny little wheel on the bottom and you have tried and tried for so many times.

I can see that one day, you'll be able to do this easily because you are working really hard to achieve your goal.

Why Play?

One of the charateristics of the philosophy of Play is - it must be self-directed and self-chosen. (Brewer; 2017)

I believe that this is because we want children to feel free to be creative. Watch this short video of children in Room 1 having fun when given the opportunity to choose what to do. They have fun and at the same time they learn to be creative.

Power of Conversation

When engaged in authentic play like swimming, children are more likely to develop higher order cognitive and socio-emotional skills ... (Gray, 2013)

Swimming is an authentic play where teachers could use to teach skills that they want their learners to learn. Language will be involved and children will more likely to recycle the language as they play. Enjoy!
