We are learning about cultural treasures. In Tonga we make tapa as part of our culture. Room 2 spent an afternoon making our own tapa. The pattern we used is called "Manulua". This is an old and well known pattern to all Tongans. 'Manulua' represents two birds' wings together and it means to unite two groups or families together.
