Our lovely Room 1 - Term 2 2019

It is very sad for there will be eleven of my current students moving to another classroom next week due to having a much bigger class.

Starting next week, I will only have 15 students. It is going to be easier and much more manageable and I am looking forward to having a smaller class, though I know that I won't be enjoying it for a while for there are young students already enrolled to start sometimes soon.

Therefore, this movie is dedicated to all my students that are going to move on to the new classroom. We wish you all the best and enjoy learning with your new teacher.

Hohepa expresses his understanding of number 3. He is using his own knowledge and experience to explain the meaning of number 3. NUMBER TALK gives an opportunity for learners to use their own understand and make connections to what we learn in class.

Syllables in Names

My new learners are learning to spell and write their names using syllables of their names. Simione and Hohepa are learning to do that so here they are saying it out loud. They clap their hands to count how many syllables in their names.
